Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
was awesome.
Suburban Legends killed it and had my interest besides me not knowing anything.
Goldfinger played incredibly and I was so stoked I got to finally see them.
Reel Big Fish played really well. I’m just kinda sick of hearing the same jokes from the past 6 years.
and Big D killed it again. period.
I also saw some dude eat a Twinkie out of another dude’s ass on stage.
was killer.
I got to sing two songs with Dave tonight. “My Girlfriend’s On Drugs” and “Modern American Gypsy.”
Dave McWane is an inspiration.
I was listening to Big D tonight, and I was just reminded of this..
It was probably my 7th or 8th time seeing Big D, and after their set, a friend of mine and myself just were walking around the venue. Dave walked into us by accident and apologized, then introduced himself to us ad “Hi, I’m Dave.” We chatted for awhile, and we asked for a picture. Dave went into a crazy, scientific explanation of why this spot wasn’t good for lighting, and we took a quick picture. He wasn’t satisfied with the lighting, so we took another. He then wished us a good night and safe ride home.
Dave is one of the nicest dudes in music that I’ve met, and I’m super glad that he’s now cancer free.
